Confession Time: I Am Disappointed with Myself
I'm not sure what your thinking when you see this, but I must be honest with myself I am disappointed. I am at a point where I am saddened because I cannot have the things I desire in life. Sadly, these things are all materialistic. I hate to say this, but Daddy spoiled his little girl! I seem to always want things hoping that they will make me happy. It upsets me when I go to the mall and I leave with nothing weighing down my arm. I cannot buy things for myself because I do not have a job and am a hard working full-time student. I am not used to the big change that has taken over me. It's so hard and I will admit I stress over the fact that I can no longer get the things I want. Don't get me wrong in high school I did have a job and so I provided clothes and fun times for myself. I didn't really depend on my parents, and now in college I have to depend on them. I do not ask them for money because I feel guilty, whenever they do give me a little something it goes straight to the bank. Inside I feel like I'm dying of retail starvation. I walk into my favorite stores and resist temptation, but inside it's really starting to bug me. Needless to say that this will be the start of a new project, a working on myself and I'm excited to start. This project is called: How to Leave a Materialistic World. With the help of my older friends and the internet I hope I can start to see a change in myself, wish me luck!
Sincerely XOXO,
DB

Week 3: Appreciate the small stuff!
As Americans, I feel we tend to overestimate the basic needs. We think we need all of these materialistic things. Anyway, you must resist the temptation to buy more and more and more until you've pretty much stuffed yourself, your family and friends, and your house until you just can't take anymore. After all, you know that most of the things you bought end up in the trash. Being in college I have learned to save money when I can and to only get what's completely necessary. I feel this should be enforced from a young age, this way when you get older in life you won't be so filled with debt and things you never needed. I'm not saying that every now and then a little something something is nice, but not every month! In fact, maybe you should just take care of what you need first and then save the change of what you saved from there can be applied to you. So, enjoy the small things in life, you never know how long you'll be there.

Week 2: Watch my Diet!
Ok so apparently they eat much differently then we do at and different times. They start out breakfast with lots of fruit, meat, cheese, and whole wheat bread. I accept all but the meat (flexy over here)! During our Lunch (about 2-4pm) they have their big dinner. This is where they go all out. If they eat again it is a lite meal like a salad, fruit, bread, or cheese. Turns out Europeans don't traditionally snack as much as we Americans do. So this week I have been trying out this European eating style and I will say as a result I have lost a few pounds! By eating a big dinner at 3pm I have class right after so I don't go to sleep and transfer that food into fat. Turns out they don't have much dessert either..AHHHH! By my more healthy lifestyle (working out included) it seems that the European lifestyle might have something to it! I look forward to continuing.....

Inspired by Mama Mia...The European Lifestyle
Watching this movie I have found that living the American lifestyle is seriously stressing me out and I'm a bit unhappy. I also find that I am stressing a lot more than I ever should, I've gained at least 10 pounds and the eating is all stress related. I now know the cause of my recent gain and I am happy to say that I will find a constructive way around it. I have briefly done research and it's found the the European Lifestyle is more relaxed and less stressed. Over the next few days I will be telling you how I will be improving my life through a new type of lifestyle! Wish me luck, I know something good will become of this. I can feel it already I'm so excited!! Maybe one day I can visit Europe and truly enjoy the lifestyle. Anyway....
Day 1: Be Fit!
Day 1: Be Fit!
This is something that most of us would have to work on. Face it the typical American lifestyle is sedentary to the max. No wonder our country is filled with obesity, even starting from a younger age now! Simply unbelievable because as a child I was constantly outside playing, but sadly technology has me inside watching tv or using my laptop. Disgusting!! Europeans don't ever seem to work out because they constantly bike or walk to their destinations. They say that even walking for just 30 minutes daily is a good start towards a fresh new life and perspective!

Promises..Learn to Keep Them...
Hello Lovlies,
Ok, so my latest video is actually me finally giving my friend what I had promised months ago. I had promised her a makeup look that I had done on my birthday. She begged me to do so and i obliged, but then I put it off. The longer I put it off the more I forgot about it. Then as I was coming home from school I remembered the promise I had made to my old friend. Needless to say I got right to it and I recorded my video for her. I even titled it for her so when she sees it she will be shocked. Learn from my mistake:
1. Stay true to your promises
2. Do not put off what you promised, do it immediately!
3. Remember to do a little extra for this person because you forgot the promise if you did. It makes them feel really appreciated!
Hope I Helped!

SPRING BREAK IS COMING!
Ok, finally a break from academics! I cannot wait to show you more tutorials and basically pictures of me having the time of my life. Knowledge is something that I'm learning more each day and I will also share that with you. I will probably make a video almost everyday...Or at least 5 times during spring break...after my studies of course. Unfortunately I do have a Middy (Mid-Term) the day after I return back to school. But, if I study from 8-12pm each day then I should be fine!

Look What I've Been Up to!
Look What I've Been Doing!
Ok, Hi! Sorry for the really long wait, but I've been super busy. I did have time to relax while I've been on vacation to the Dominican Republic...I wish. Actually this was a Dominican Republic Independence Day celebration we attended on campus, but don't it look like the real thing! Cool Right I know, but one day I will return to DR. STAY TUNED!
